Q&A

What attracted you to TSG?

TSG is different from your typical private equity office, and it truly feels like a family. Everyone is extremely humble and respectful, working hard at driving success for the fund and its portfolio companies. The excellence bar is set very high, and it shows within the team, having the opportunity to work with some of the brightest minds within this space.

What brings you the most joy in your job?

I love the ability to pivot across different industries and provide solutions to a wide variety of growth challenges our partner companies may be facing. The best part of my job is the instant gratification of the results we achieve by driving efficiency or providing data insights for business growth opportunities. I really enjoy meeting leaders and entrepreneurs who inspire and provide me with learning opportunities within their operating space.

How do you build trust with entrepreneurs you’ve just started to work with?

I think the three pillars to building a successful, trusting relationship are: respect, humility, and results. I always try to be respectful and understand the historical context of the current state of operations. There may be limitations or business specific needs that drove those decisions in the past and approaching those from a place of humility and positive curiosity is a must. Driving results is the cornerstone of trust – once they see the quantified wins, our partnership flourishes.
