Q&A

What was the first job you had?

I worked the front desk at a bowling alley during high school. It was my first experience interacting with so many different people and having to meet our customer’s needs. It was great, with the possible exception of having to spray that shoe disinfectant in everyone’s bowling shoes after they were done.

What attracted you to TSG?

Having had the opportunity to work with and learn about TSG in two prior jobs, I knew TSG as a firm with hard-working people, a consistency in approach, and a commitment to building enduring brands and strong relationships with investors. It’s the kind of environment I wanted to be apart of and that I know would motivate me to bring my best every day.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

Successfully raising my first puppy (a reactive, high-energy Mini Aussie) into adulthood without any prior experience. The whole experience taught me new levels of patience and perseverance and instilled in me the confidence to achieve anything I set my mind and body to. But also seeing my dog obey difficult commands, catch and return frisbee throws, and perform agility tricks has made me a proud dog father.

What are your greatest sources of inspiration?

My family and partner, to all of whom I owe so much for their support over the years. And, as a Seattle-native, I can never discount the impact a nice cup of coffee can have to inspire.
