Diane has more than 25 years of experience building premier skincare, makeup and fragrance brands across the globe.

She was most recently CEO of Perricone MD, a TSG investment, and is currently an advisor to each of the beauty brands within TSG’s portfolio. Previously, Diane was the President of Bare Escentuals and CEO of Benefit Cosmetics, part of the LVMH portfolio. At LVMH, she worked on the Dior brand in both London and New York across sales, marketing and management roles. She began her cosmetics career working on luxury brands within L’Oreal, in roles ranging from product development to public relations to sales and marketing. She is a graduate of The School of Pharmacy, University of London.

What was the first job you had?  

Acting as a relief pharmacist, traveling across the Yorkshire Dales in a mini pickup truck, 850cc with three gears.

What is the key to building a successful brand?

Being able to answer fully the following questions:

Why am I different?

Why will people buy me?

Do I have a story that resonates?

Do I have a quality product at the right price that will delight the customer?

What have you learned from working with entrepreneurs?

They don't daily delegate as the business scales. They need to truly and fully trust you.

How do you build trust with entrepreneurs?

Be humble, listen to them, achieve results quickly, always be honest.

How would you describe your working style?

Determined and driven to achieve good results and fast.
