Pranav works with our partner companies and is involved in due diligence of our investments.
Prior to joining TSG Consumer Partners, Pranav was a consultant at Bain & Company, where he advised private equity, consumer, and software clients. He also served as the Chief of Staff to the Americas Chief Marketing Officer at Diptyque, a French luxury fragrance brand, where he led key strategic & marketing initiatives. Pranav received an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Economics from Stanford University.

What attracted you to TSG?
I’ve always enjoyed following innovative consumer brands in my personal time, and my prior experiences made me realize that investing in and partnering with the teams behind iconic brands would be an incredible way to combine my personal and professional passions. I was blown away not only by TSG’s track record, but also by the quality and humility of everyone I met at TSG – so I knew I had to jump at the opportunity to join this dream team.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
I once heard a character on a TV show say that “just because you’ve been bumped up to first chair in the orchestra doesn’t mean you can compose a symphony.” This has stuck with me as a reminder to have the humility and self-awareness to recognize that I always have so much more to learn.
If you were to start your own business, what would it be and why?
My twin brother and I have had a decades-long dream of starting a business together after we retire, but our interests are quite different, so only time will tell what we land on. Personally, I am a huge fragrance enthusiast, so I’d love to create my own line of niche fragrances inspired by the places and people in my life.
How would you describe your working style?
I have a ‘people-first’ working style. I’ve always enjoyed collaborative team environments where everyone is excited to bring a sunny disposition, communicate openly and honestly, take ownership, and have fun together!
